I don't believe that anyone in my family has ever left any bottle of sparkling wine- champagne or otherwise- unfinished. Is such a thing even possible?

I just wouldn't bother opening it in the first place, don't like it. White wine fine, just not the sparkling variety.

    **Fact of the day**

Champagne should be served in slightly dusty glasses, as the bits of dust act as surfaces on which bubbles can evolve, making the champagne fizzier!

Go on, everybody try it tonight!
