Hmm... can't help but wonder if this is the new George Lazenby...
Isn't this one supposed to be a sort of "Bond Begins" - where the story starts with Bond joining MI6?
They'll have some MAJOR continuity problems then...
Almost certainly.
Lost interest in Bond movies after Golden Eye
Die Another Day was pretty decent. The opening has got to be my favourite of all of them.
November 17?
... that's a long time :(
Bad Bond. Get someone else.
Rubbish, the PSP download does not support Macs and I can seem to view the java stream :(
Hmm, unsure about this one, Daniel Craigs a good actor but I'm not sure he can pull off bond tbh, its nearly as bad as george clooney as batman.....
I think it is best to wait and see how it turns out as Daniel Craig is a great actor and I believe that this movie has alot less humor than other Bonds and is supposed to be alot more serious.
looks very very flash indeed
indeed - I can't help but feel it wont have a whole lot to do with the book ( which was the first Bond book Ian Flemming wrote ) , although I think it may well turn out to be a good film.
I seem to recall that Casino Royale was one of Bond's first missions as well as being the first book, so if this is going to be a "Bond Begins" sort of thing.. it would fit with a younger Bond, and a different attitude. Saying which, what sort of time period is it based in?
I would say late 1960's when the aston martin db6 was released looking at the trailer.
a little earlier than that i think, however, theyve not given him a db5/6, theyve given him a brand new dbs, WTF!! especially as aston do some fantastic work with old cars (engine transplants etc) a hopped up db5 would hav been much betterQuote:

That's because it's a java steam...you actually expect it to work reliably and quickly??? :PQuote:

I don't think this is the right angle to take really, I generally don't like modern films set in the past anyway (tend to look quite fake).
Add to that the possible confusion with the original Casino royale bond film (the spoof) and you get into a mess - same name and they both have bond in them, but the spoof is set after he has retired (he comes back to challange SMERSH iirc) and this new one when he has just started? hmm
ooh not heard of them - I've read all the Ian Flemming ones....will have to track them down on amazon :)Quote:

i am looking forward to this, i can see why danial craig is the next bond, his more serious than brosnan
edit(Bond doesnt age anyway) his got some drug that keeps him alive and young forever
I still think Bond is a timelord... that would explain the changing face at least :)
Ive always thought bond was just an alias, different guys, same name, just like the various differet Qs and Ms
dude i agree thas ages! why do they publicise films like this so early before release! GrrrrrQuote:

I don't think so... look at the tech that's in the trailer... That arm x-ray thing looks as space age as anything in the latest Bond films.Quote:

M does say something about promoting him too early in that trailer though...

at the very start of the video theres a for mondeo, it will be based monday day like all the others. just cos james bond spans 30 years, it supposed to be over a couple of years remember ;)
Also just realised that it's still got Dame Judy Dench playing M - wtf? Theres your first major hole, unless..it really is set in modern times, as a sequal to die another day with a new bond - as herulach suggested maybe 'james bond' is just another code-name..
That would work quite nicely - allow them to play out the casino royale storyline (or part of it) and still keep Judy Dench as M (possible due to a contract for X number of films?) Will have to see.
Bond films are just set when they are filmed. Bond is always the same Bond, they don't really do timelines (except for the odd reference to his wife from OHMSS). Also by making it darker and more serious it will be closer to the books. There was never much humour in them and just as an aside, technicallyhe should not have an Aston, he drove a Bentley in the books.
well bits of it were a bently IIRC :)
wasn't it a custom build with a chuffing great big super charger ( that he takes up to nearly 90 miles an hour  in moonraker or golderfinger IIRC )
