New Series of Top Gear this sunday

This sunday- the new series of Top Gear starts...

Yay! is what i hear from Car enthusiasts. :mrgreen:
from what i read last month according to the Daily Star -Future Top Gear's was in jepordy after recieving complaints about the track from local people because of the noise the cars produce from rallying around the track.... but somehow TG peeps have managed to sort it all out :)

First Doctor Who and now Top Gear, the 2 best programs on TV are back for new series' :mrgreen:

Hehe I love TG - It's got bugger all to do with cars really but is so entertaining. I haven't had one of those laugh so hard your gonna cry moments in ages until TG did the winter show. Watching Hammond try to paint a line on the ski jump slope and seeing Clarkson and May slipping all over the place whilst trying to present was pure comedy. Kind of reminds me of that bloke Kevin trying to get off the ski lift in a programe ages ago

Who's noticed that Jeremy Clarkson keeps saying 'on that bombshell good night' at the end of the programme, he should say something new.

uh-o, new Top Gear series is great but some things make me un-easy about it...

the current format for the show is great, I don't think it needs changing at all..but that could be a good thing in the end so will wait and see.

Biggest news is the 'new presenter', with the hint as to his/her identity being 'blue peter'

This is worrying, as either a) they have replaced someone (but as long as hammond and jeremy stay its alles gut, they make the show imho) and b) it's probably an ex blue peter presenter...not a good thing unless its richard bacon, and I doubt that since he's a C4 monkey..

also anyone remember the last time they got a new presenter in? Wasnt for long but it didnt work at all ;/

Richard, Jeremy and James are still there, the supposed new presenter isn't replacing anyone. And the last new presenter was James ;) Unless you mean the guy that he replaced of course.

I wish they had done more top gear than that awful show with Richard Hammond in, which was care themed. The attempt to get a car show to a mass audience made it a lonely pool of nothing ness.

I hope the BBC dont work there normal magic and kill the show, look what they did to Top Of The Tops.

Yeah, taking the Led Zep theme tune away was a bad move.

I don't think the will have messed Top Gear up though.. I guess we shall see on Sunday.

Thank god it's coming back...one of few programs I do watch. Cars, speed, comedy and good entertainment, doesnt really get better imo! :D

I think Clarkson & Hammond make it, but Captain Slow is jus there to represent the thinking, quite probably volvo driving, man. Geneous.

That guy from the earlier series that gave tips on what car to get etc didnt really fit tbh....

I really don't think James fits in, should be replaced with someone interested in fast cars

Theres a small problem with this series....theres a massive break in the middle for those overpaid guys who kick footballs around fields

Get rid of James May? Nah, he's a good laugh. Plus, who else is there to appeal to... er... your inner sloth?

Noooo dont talk about replacing James. No-one should be replaced (and thankfully it looks like they wont be). This new presenter is worrying though, if for no reason more than where are they gonna sit when doing the news........ dont go replacing the chair set!

Yeah I mean the guy who he replaced, Jason Dawe I think his name was..

I've seen the seasons out of order as on BBC Prime we get them in a strange order :) But I hated dawe as a presenter, he just didn't fit in - would have been more at home on a gardening show or similar imho :P

Leave Captain Slow alone!!!!

Awesome series. Hammond rules, as does Clarkson with his hilarious comments. May just balances things out, he's pretty funny too sometimes.

One of the funniest moments was when Clarkson had the scrolling LED gizmo and he put a message on and said it automatically censored itself and you could see the words: "hammond is a ****" scrolling along :lol:

Like most of you have said it's a pretty perfect blend that doesn't really need changing........ apart from one thing........ Norks could really bring it up a peg or two. So how about that ex Blue Peter presenter Katie Hill stood about in the buff and sprawled over cars? That's about the only way some reject Blue Peter presenter could improve the show.

Yay... Time for some more Hammond fix with some cars thrown in....

I hope they haven't killed it again, i liked the old format anyway... and I hope its all the same kinda stuff... I need to get hold of a copy of that winter episode... that had me in stitches.

James May is a TV legend. Between the three there's a perfect balance of youthful exuberance, grumpiness and plain childish behaviour.

Maybe they finally got that German woman from the Nuerburgring (Sabine or something?).

And my Mum much prefers TG over Heartbeat. She doesn't know anything about cars really and doesn't drive, but it's so damn entertaining!

Has Heartbeat got to the 70s yet?

As long as the new presenter dosn't interupt the flow of the original 3 because they are a great blend.

I don't like Hammond, his road tests are awful, always trys to be funny in 'em but never really works...

awsome, sunday nite = top gear night once again! and for all the new stuff TG has i think the bbc have got some money to spend again! although i dont think FOUR presenters is really nesercery!

Well that made me laugh ALOT! They havn't really changed it, just tweaked it to perfection.

The Dog? Well I'd of liked Suzi Perry but at least it's not some jumped up tosspot of a celeb :)

Hurrahhh!

The Labradoodle was fitter than Vicky Butler Henderson and seemed a bit more switched on.

Enjoyed the Espace Cabriolet thing - especially Clarkson stitching himself to the roof lining.

Didn't watch all of it, but what i did see was brilliant!

I loved the 'convertible' Espace..... and when they were driving through the Lion enclosure in the safari park and Hammond said "We are like sandwiches in a lunchbox with the lid half off" :D

I'm wondering if the Labradoodle is Hammonds, he loves dogs, he presented last years Crufts :)

They took the piss outta him last series for owning a poodle. So maybe it is his. I can't see him having a fully fledged poodle but a labradoodle I can!

How cool was the konnennenenenensiigggg ccx, I thought the whole reason for him telling us he's giving up smoking was due to a heart attack scare. He seriously looked like he was having one when it wouldn't stop!

It was a great episode and I enjoyed all of it alot of funny moments and the Top Gear Dog is great, what a character.

that made me laugh where they set the carwash on fire and ran off shouting "ruuun" like naughty kids.

Thank god I set media centre to record this. I totally forgot and was doing other things.

I'll watch it tonight when I get in from work before CS sourcing it up :)
