I think my mate won £10,000 in front of our faces today.

It was a real nice superhot afternoon today, so we all went into the relaxing area of the 6th Form... I was just doing some art in the old common room and we all went there and some went with their artbooks, and my best mate asked me to draw him... and the rest started discussing the decisions on the "pub crawl" they were going to do after the last day of 6th Form.

So we were talking, and my friend goes through his pocket and pulls out something (can't remember) and a diamond-looking thing fell out. He was like "Oh yeah, I got well angry, I found this in my Smirnoff bottle last night"....

    And he was completely serious.

Has anyone seen the advert on TV? It's this http://www.ephinx.com/tvadverts/365/...nd-advert.html

We didn't believe it, since he made it so casual, but it didn't damage against anything at all, it scratched everything. And its the EXACT same size/shape, and its truely beautiful to look at. If it was fake, how could he get a lookalike one so quickly? But there wasn't a definate way we could see if he wasn't lying or not, so we will have to wait and see with what happens...

We spent a long time trying to prove him wrong, but none of us could do it. We spent nearly 4 hours all together and he didn't once look like he was joking (and he had no actual idea about the promotional competition).

Thing that hits me most is that it looks EXACT to the one on the link. Exactly the same.

Yeah I have won two competitions in my life so far... and my parents won an all-expenses-paid first class flight to Hawaii and San Fransisco when I was about 5 too... so I mean its possible (competitions are not fictional :O)

    He's deffo blagging it.
If anyone found a stone like that in their Vodka the first thing they would do is check it out as that doesn't look like a worthless rock.
Secondly only a total idiot would then carry something like that around having found out its value. Its probably Cubic Zirchonia he had for a reason or sommat.

    http://www.brandrepublic.com/bulleti...diamond-offer/

Diageo has taken special fraud prevention measures to ensure the 10 winning bottles, which contain a diamond logo under the cap, are tamper proof by using shrink wrapping, stickers and individual ID numbers on the 70cl bottles.
    Wind up.

You honestly reckon a company would put a small diamond worth £10, 000 in a bottle of vodka on general sale?

I love arty types, so gullible

I think you should offer him £8,000 for it, and then sell it on for a profit. That's a foolproof way to make money.

No way smirnoff would put a real diamond in a bottle! Anyway, it would be better for them to have someone ring up saying they found a special number etc. Then they could have big publicity.
