Was watching in an English pub here in Spain. Was a bit surprised when most people watching were cheering for Barca
I loved seeing the keeper sent off, good decision, at least Arsenal can be proud to be the first team to have a player sent off in the final

At least the best team won, just a shame Spurs could only manage 5th.

Went to Wetherspoons last night and it was a right mess, people kicking off, empty stella bottles all over the floor and someone even managed to rip a booth-bench out!

All because of people going along to a game just because they want to see someone lose so they can mock their fans.

    Whatever happened to sportsmanship?

everyone at work is boasting how well arsenal played last nite, tbh i wasnt that convinced.

Once they lost the man and scored the goal they played very deep in their own half, and that is something you cannot do against Barcalona, what do you expect is going to happen if you let them attack you for the whole second half. when Henry got the ball out of their half he had no support at all, by the time he did there was 5/6 barca players surrounding him.

a deserved victory imo - i just laugh at the bitterness of Wenger and Henry after the match

But thats what its all about, i mock my workmates for supporting Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs (i'm Liverpool) and have a friendly bet every year (i won for first time this year ) We have a great laugh and it includes 2 company directors, of which i just waltz into their office and take the mick. At the end of the day if you dish it out, you have to be willing to recieve it.

Sportsmanship, nice word that is lost on a lot of people. Watch a game and look how much sportsmanship is on show with the diving and rolling around in fake agony. Is that sportsmanship? Didn't think so.

I think Arsenal played pretty well considering they had 10 men. I dont like Arsenal but i supported them for this game as i have a Spanish friend who always go's on about Spanish football being better. But he's insistant that Barca absolutely wiped the floor with Arsenal, i can't see how he can say that! They weren't THAT much better. Really should have been 1-0 to Barca as that was a dive by Eboue so shoulnd't have been an Arsenal free kick, and Eto'o was offside.

Kinda puts the other quotes into context. Fair enough if you and your workmates have a bit of banter about it but I'm talking about people going "HA HA YOU LOST" to people they don't know, who then get offended and fights break out.

I don't care about football, it's a stupid game that's mostly reduced to theatrics and overpaid players now. What I do care about is people turning the places I go out into a mess of shouting and violence just because someone is bitter their team isn't in the final so they have to jeer a team that is.

thats probably more to do with the alcohol than the football.
