    Talking My Daft Son!

He was a little late getting home from School today, he was waiting for his Bus outside Aldi and he said he heard a load of shouting and a man tried to run past with stuff he'd nicked from there, Michael stuck out his leg and tripped the bloke over which gave the security man enough time to nab him.... anyway, the Manager comes out and says to "you can choose whatever you want from the store" what does my daft lad ask for?????

A bottle of Coke! that's it! one bottle of coke

They took Mike's name and wrote it down, Manger said that was the third time this week that bloke had nicked stuff from them and they hadn't managed to catch him, i said to Mike that he'll be in the paper now, which embarassed him just have to wait and see i suppose

you've not taught thim that Aldi is good for medion stuff ?

Hmmm I bet you could have done with a laptop or even another base unit

heh... anyway, at least the manager went out of their time to thank him. If that was round here they would have just 'ignored' the fact that he tripped him, blamed it on the kerb and then just walked away.

His Dad is going to play hell! he was looking at the external HDD's they had in last week, he's going to want to know why he didn't get one of those :

I thought it was nice of the manager to offer him something, he didn't have to

Yeah... but he could of said "yeah no worries" stayed and then got a lift home to you from the Police.

I bet the sight of a policecar pulling up with your son in would of caused you to worry even more though, so good job he said he had to go really

I would have asked for the cash register personally

On a more serious note, when I was younger, a man came running round the corner with 2 Focus DIY men chasing him....I didn't see him at first, walked round the corner, he ran into me and we both ended up on the floor, giving the Focus staff enough time to jump on the theif. I got a fiver from the manager

Erm not wishing to sell doom or anything, but i wouldn't want him in the paper.

its very unlikely this person will have to spend a night at her magisties pleasure, and well, just make sure hes careful, dosen't brag about it or anything else that could invoke retrabution!

    (still damn well done!)

You do realise that he will probably try and sue your son for GBH, intentional obstruction of the walkway, emotional stress, and loss of earnings now ?

He doesn't want to be in the paper he hates the attention, and he's certainly not the bragging type ( again, he hates being centre of attention ) he was far too embarressed to give his address they had to coax his name out of him as it was
