    USB Sim card readers

    Not *too* sure where to post this so I thought I'd put it in here.

    USB Sim card readers, what are they good for? - Can you actually connect to the network on your computer and make a call using the credit on your computer? Could you connect to the internet via the sim card?

    You'll need a 'data card' to connect to the internet - not a sim reader

    Yes, a couple of links below, they can work on '2G' that would be like 56k dial up though. I guess if 3G data card internet access was the only option it would be ok, but wifi should be quicker - if it is an option

    True - Just been looking at 3G prices, not very clear. But from what I can gather you have to pay a monthly subscription and you get a limit of about 30mb then you have to pay more :|
