    Website security certificates

Im not all too clued up on this sort of thing so please educate me.

after getting a tad excited bout a big sale game are doing (being kindly informed by jackobyte), i went to log in to the site to check if i still have an account but firefox + IE told me the security certificate had a domain name mismatch.
does that mean someone might be snooping for peoples log ins? i know its probably perfectly ok, but just wanted to check.

    cheers.

If they used to have an alternative domain they could of forgotten to switch it over.
