Just did my English Paper 2 as well, got to admit XA04, I found it very straightforward, which I wasn't expecting. I'm pretty crap at the 'Poems from Other Cultures', but I was pleased with what question was given.

I did Question 2 (This Room) and Question 5 (Decribe Yourself etc).

Section A: Had to write about the imagery in the poem 'The Room' and about one other poem... but it had to be about the ideas and feelings of people in the poem.

The Room was the only poem I didn't study (stupid teacher), but the other poem I did was unrelated incidents.

Section B: Describe a change in your life, explain how you felt about this. Basically made up some stuff, and some stuff was based on truth, but it was very crap and cheesy.

I choose the one I did for Section B (even though I had to describe and explain) because I thought it would be easier as I could do a little on description and a little on explanation.... didn't do much on either in the end tbh.

Oh my God. I just realised I put the wrong question number for Section B; I did the describe yourself one when I put the number down for 'change in life' one.

Will they be able to tell? Will they mark it as if it were Question 6?

Yup English was officially a biatch to do.. they purposely picked the hardest poem in cluster 2 to compare, descriptive writing qu. was alright though.

It depends whether you made it clear, it might be a bit of a prob. cos question 6 had descriptive elements in it, so they might just think you didn't do any explaining, on the other hand - it should be fairly obvious that you are describing yourself.

EDIT: yeah, i did 2: and compared it with Presents from my aunt in pakistan (easy imagery) and 5: describe yourself (which went fine.. but i rambled for a page about the nature of the human mind..)

it will be fine....people do it all the time, thats if they put a question number at all

in my english in january, i wrote down one question number, planned for a different one and wrote another and still got a mark.
