C3.. C4, what are those subjects again?

Sorry.. Didnt do secondary or even varsity here..

but AFAIK.. at least 7 years back, all you need to do to ace in A-levels was to do lots and lots of practice.

I did all the past examination papers from 1970s onwards during those days.. and have it discussed with my teachers and mates.. Even if we didnt get the answers right, we eventually knew what was needed and what sort of response its about..

    A2 maths modules?

I did Cambridge A-Levels 7 years back, and all my subjects were end of year exams only..

    Mathematics
    Further Mathematics
    Chemistry
    Physics

They're divided into paper 1 and 2.. also Option papers for Physics and Chemistry

Things sure have changed after those years..
    Me want Ultrabook

Blasphemy.. don't repeat the poem names!!! (me and my friends are ceremoniously burning all unwanted/unneeded workbooks, sheets and anthologies..)

PS: we got round the boredom by changing all words in the poems.. eg. tongue was changed to the male genitalia..

In the anthology, there is a picture of a school with the toilets and the signs above them saying 'Boys' and 'Girls'.

Some clever chap had written above these signs 'I like...' and 'but I like to ****...', then some equally clever teacher decided to use this copy of the anthology to photocopy said page and use as her handout. It went out to the entire y11 before she realised.

I have a choice to make, I've got a huge cyst on my tailbone (... yes my bum) and I'm gonna need surgery to get it out, but omgz antibiotics aren't likely to do anything, but its better for the situation... :/ if I were to get surgery I couldn't recover in time to do the exams...

Oh knoes what to dooo... atm I've got a prescription for the antibiotics but I need somewhere to winge about the IMMENSE PAIN T_T

Ouch.. sorry dude.. thats gotta kill. If you were doin GCSE's, then you could get a doctors certificate and then just skip the exams, i don't know whether A levels have the same procedure - or just do them all standing up

definitly get a doctors certificate, even if they dont let you skip the exams and get your predicted grades you will still probably get extra marks, up to 5%.

On a side note, you get an extra 2% added onto your marks if your pet dies on the day. Ive always wondered how they check this. Could you just bring some road kill and claim it was your pet

heh, I know universities take into account (on the admissions side this is) extenuating circumstances if your grades are lower than expected

LOL I heard about that too... be a bit of a masculinity battle though if you're a bloke and you claimed that on your Uni app/Exam...

Ok I will try and get a doctors note then, thanks much all I might get surgery which forces me not to appear during the exam, then what can they do Well I wish they could delay the exam for me, that could buy me some nice extra revision time

Just learnt 2 years worth of Chemistry in a day. These exams really have shown just how useless some of my teachers are, many subjects I have just done everything from scratch using textbooks

That's also the great thing about exams - the examiner doesn't know if you learnt that stuff when you're supposed to or five minutes before you walk in
