Just been watching this program on CH4 and i think its absolutly stupid. They are tryinjg to make it illegal to cuddle and kiss before the age of 16, whether you are male or female.
They argue this is to stop peadophiles, but it could mean your mate dave going on the sex offenders list for kissing is girlfriend open mouth in public.
Lets be honest people, thats very very stupid.:mad: Whats your opinion???

no, its meant to be an educational 'thing' to promote a reduction in young pregnancies because, lets face it, no matter where you go they're out there shagging at the age of 12 because they saw it on telly...I think this was designed to show people that doing that kind of thing isn't in your best interests.
I have no interest in this subject matter thus did not watch it at all. I am neither a parent or under 16 or likely to be either any time soon...or ever!
The program is not about people saying it was a bad thing to do it at 13 etc. There was 1 girl who was a teenage mother saying she thought it was wrong. The rest of the show is about them wanting to make under 16s even kissing in public.

i think it's stupid stopping people under the age of 16 kidding and/or cuddling in public. It would totally defeat the purpose of school discos! not all 15- people with girl/boyfriends are going to be having sex, some value their bodies. i also dont see how it'll stop teenage pregnancies. if it's gunna happen, it's gunna happen, stopping under 16s kissing in public is going to have no effect.
they need to sort out the teenage criminals properly first before trying to turn 'innocent' ones into criminals for having a boner

We have brought it over out community anyways, if you allow people to see tits on MTV videos and what not, what the hell do you think is gonna happen, watch some crap song on MTV and see loads of half naked chicks, and then moan for them for doing the same, lol.
If we don't want it to happen we need to change how we view things, not just say "dont do it" if they want to, they will, people wont get stopped because some law says so, not over something like that.... unless they enforce it to extremes, which would be an invasion of privacy

i like the laws they have in other countries. its fine after the age of 12 but only if there is no more than a 2 year age gap between the 2 paticipants.

It's always the issues that dont need sorted that get dealt with. Just so the governing bodies can make the people they are actually doing something. Though Media plays a big part in this as well - they make such a big woohaa out of some really silly things and so everyone thinks its a good idea to change. Powerful eh.

As for stupid laws, why cant they concentrate on the more important issues instead of coming up with really petty laws to restrict normal everyday lives even more! soon it'll be illegal to leave the house unless you're going to work/school/college/uni.
it would stop the natual discovery of your own and each others bodys to stop people under 16 from kissing and cuddling in public
people would be going back wards to stop such a natural thing. as for underage pregnancies if it happens it happens.
