    I have the exact same problem TiMeZeRo. I do not exagerate when I say I have this at least once every 3 or 4 days. I agree, this is taking the piss.

    I keep checking their service status mini-site, and it seems every week they're 'upgrading the network'. I'm doing my GCSEs at the moment, and I need, among other sites, search engines to find details out. Google, MSN Search, Yahoo, Ask and Altavista are all down.

    I would paste the link of the service status site, but I can't Google for it.... Maybe someone else could for us?

    Matt D, just because you aren't getting the DNS problems doesn't mean people aren't being affected by the problem elsewhere. Go figure...

    It's not something silly like your MTU size, is it?
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Nope, I rang NTL two or so weeks back, and I was told on the quiet that a lot of people are experiencing these problems.

    They're understaffed, and their service is poor (that goes for the digital TV and the internet...)

    Did I say it was a lie what was being said? no, so don't accuse.

    I know the issue can exist, but it means that it has to be down to DNS servers relating to specific areas, go figure, they have more than one DNS, who'd have thunk it.

    I'm not accusing you of anything, Matt. However, what you originally said denoted something different to what you have just explained, and it appeared rather snide. Still, if you say it means nothing of the sort, then there's no problem is there.

    Hopefully the problems should be over soon. According to their website a lot of maintenance/upgrade work is being done this week as all 2mb are moving over to 4mb.
