It's a SCSI card. You plug SCSI devices into itProbably does RAID too
Those Adaptec cards weren't cheap when they were new... You might be able to Ebay it, more so if it's U320.
Got any model numbers?

Tis is true!!
Right, the adaptec chips says:
AIC-7880P
AQEA723
722511
BC3048.1
The other IBM Chips:
07H1060
RATTLER MMM
9736155-B
IBM
POWERPC
403GCX
Think there is even a lil RAM chip.
IBM 4MB
11S1360QB-60M
I know you guys, i bet you all know what these numbers etc mean. Thinking "Oh yes!, i know what that is...."
To me, it's like speaking Wookie.
I'll take it off your hands if you don't want it![]()
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.2Ghz (400Mhzx8) 1.52V (set in bios, 1.47v real) | 4GB GeIL PC6400 4-4-4-12 | Gigabyte DQ6 @ 1600Mhz | HD2900XT 1GB | Enermax Infiniti 720W | Silverstone TJ07-B with custom watercooling | BenQ FP241WZ
3dmark05 - 13140 | 3dmark06 - 6698 | SuperPi 1M - 15s
The AIC-7880P is an Ultra wide SCSI controller (that's 160MiB/s.)
The RAM module on the white connector will be for cache, the PowerPC for parity calculation and RAID management.
Hang a few wide SCSI drives off it and you have yourself a RAID array... a pretty damn quick one too, probably, but its PCI connection would cripple it compared to what we have these days.
Edit: Woo this is like a HEXUS.pipelines, but the wrong way around.
