quarantine for pets?

someone asked me if there dog would need to be quarantened if they brought it here from the us. anyone know about pets and travel stuff?

presuming that means it will be isolated from all the other animals .... but that could be for any reason

that sucks. why cant they just do a blood test to check for rabies?! it wouldnt take 6months to find out if it has it
