it also appears to be affecting your typing

it's due to a collection of things - the outer bits of your eye cant detect colour, so while everyting you 'see' is colour, you are only actually seeing colour in the middle. the rest is just the colour your brain has remembered that it is. the outer edges of your vision see black and white, out of focus, but are more receptible to low light - which is why when theres not much light you see black and white.

The colour you are looking at before you hover over the image "sticks" so to say in your vision, as you hover over and it goes black and white you still have the colours in your vision which then overlays the black and white making it look its "real" colour

thats just my thought anyways not 100% but it seems like that
