I was given an old machine by a work colleague when I built him a new computer, i thought great as i can finally have a play with linux.
However the machine is resisting all attempts at installing linux on it.
so what should i do with the machine?
Set it on fire and take photographs
Throw it off the top of the nearest multistorey
donate it to charity
introduce it to Mr Chainsaw

What sort of spec is it?
If it's good enough to run windows 98 then whack a modem in it, grab a cheap monitor and sell it in your local paper as an internet ready machine.
Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
DEFINITELY set it on fire, take many photographs and video clips

Donate it to someone who needs it. (I hear the NHS are short of cash!)
No, really, is there an orphanage near by? Stick windows 98 on it, I imagine they'd be grateful for a computer.

its a K6 333 with 32mb of memory (it had 160 but i scavenged 128 for another pooter) and a 5gb hard drive
whats most annoying is that XP installed just fine on it with 160mb of ram.

it would be cool to blow it up or something as it is the season where you can buy legal explosives from the corner shop. and film it. woooo
I'd just slap 98 on it and a couple of little games and give it to an orphanage. make some kids happy
Well, it looks like the machine is going to go to my little sister to type her coursework up on.
and I was looking forward to mass destruction.
Well done to all those who suggested charity.
