    affiliation requires permission afaik

    not bad for a days work. You should read up on rules of websites though. This includes things such as stick to a maximum of two fonts and two font sizes. There should be a colour scheme as well and things like that. I've written up a massive tutorial on website construction for when version 2 of my site is up. I'll post a link when it's up and running

    Ack! Frames!

    *grumble* FRAMES! *grumble*

    But yeah, they aren't affiliates unless they agree, they are just links.

    Definitely dump the frames. Way too annoying, no website should ever have them.

    Urgh.

    frames do indeed suck. Although i have used a div box with scroll bar on my recent design. http://tonicblue.co.uk but nothing else would go and i think it worked tbh.Not bad for a start though.

    Drunken Poncho - I once tried to make a site in all flash. It looked good, but one problem - you can't edit flash in notepad (or even better - vi.) I guess I'm old skool.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    For college it HAD to have frames, layers, tables and other crap...

    yes I hate frames too.. but it required them for me to pass the damn assignment.

    Re the frames... yeh they seriously suck but if the course says you need them then not a lot you can do. I've got to stick a frame someone on my Alfa147 site (see below) so it'll pass the requirements

    Although, you could use a top/bottom frame with 0px height which would have the affect that the address in the address bar doesn't change. Hmmm...

    As far as I'm concern, frames or not is not an issue... as long as the site looks ok. However, I personally feel that the most important thing is content - spend more time creating interesting content will make the site interesting for those who look beyond the initial eye-candies.
