Where does your hexus name come from?

just thought it'd be interesting to see how people come up with their net names:

eg, Million: my name's Max, and when I was about 12 I always used to play the original AoE under the name Emperor Maxamillion, as it sounds pretty grand. Then I went to my first LANparty and was told I had to have a nickname for all the games, so Million was born!

i changed online alias back in... ooh... 1996 or 1997, after getting suspected using my old pseudonym. this is around the time windows 95 was starting to become useful for games, courtesy of directx, so i modified it a little to form a new name

as kids do, i spent a long time spelling it in 1337, then InterCapping, but i finally rested on all lowercase "directhex" about 6 or 7 years ago

I was quite pleased when i came up with my name, thought it was unique untill a minute later when i realised i'd just swapped a letter with kasabien , but this was before i'd realised i'd heard of kasabien, very strange must have been subconscious. I prefer [187] for games tho, but thats a different story
