    minority + 1

and onto the more serious matter at hand; well there's the obvious ones to start with like simpsons, futurama, family guy, american dad
the more classic cartoons from the 80's like transformers, thundercats,
and then the traditional ones such as batfink, HK Phooey, Looney toons, tom and jerry (classic stuff!),

also the more recent crop of cartoon films such as shrek (1 and 2), toy story, incredibles (what guy doesn't fancy mr's stretch eh?! ) and finding nemo...whilst they may lack that magic in the hand drawn cartoons they really are vistually stunning and accommodate adult viewers now rather than just youngsters - big plus that.

    What about Dangermouse? Duckular? Super-Ted?
    Great classics.

More of a futurama fan myself these days... Family guy, etc, definitely copying the Simpsons. I like them and think they are more up-to-date than simpsons today, but seasons 4-7 of the simpsons have some of the greatest writing ever.

Apparently to avoid confusion with a cat food called 'Top Cat'.

South Park is way, way more than immature humour. There is quite often a serious philosophical, thought provoking and bitingly satirical message behind all the farting, swearing and other obscenities.

(although I have to admit, when I saw the "Uncle-*ahem*LOVER" section of the movie in the cinemas for the first time, I had trouble breathing because I found it so funny)

Invader Zim! - thanks guys for suggesting this I've not laughed like that at a cartoon for a while!

    Feaaar meeeee feeble human's

Basically the outline is Zim is an alien invader from another planet hell-bent on distruction but he's not exactly liked by his home planet so they send him into the unknown to 'recon' on planets.

However, he ends up on Earth with his trusty robot who disguise themselves as a human child and dog.

It's crazy, sometimes extremely silly and at 15-20 minutes long per episode even those with short attention spans will be able to digest this

[EDIT] - Oops I've raised an old thread from the depths of hell...

Happy Tree Friends, Wacky Races, Family Guy. Simpsons as well, but maybe that was more true a few years back.
