I've only seen 8 from that list. I don't really watch many western films.

The likes of Citizen Kane, God Father Trilogy and to a lesser extent the Star Wars Trilogy are missing for a start...

    Who makes these things up!?

Although they've picked out some classics, quite a lot of those films are relatively obscure and rated 'mediocre' by most. Certainly, they could have done with looking at the IMDb Top 250 list.

Seen only 15 of them, and of those I own 6 on DVD.
My DVD collection is exclusively films I consider very good - I buy quite a few but if they don't make the grade I give them away to friends.
Sometimes films are good for only 1 viewing.

Lost In Translation wasn't even worth one view.

Of the remainder of that list, I would want to acquire Brazil and rent The Royal Tenenbaums (and only that because I saw a trailer for it just the other night).

I wonder if they meant the 1955 Ladykillers (Alec Guinness) or the recent remake (Tom Hanks)?

Well that's a blessing at least
Though I might have expected The Green Mile, Jacob's Ladder or Blade Runner to make an appearance in that list...

Certainly not a bad list, there's quite a few missing from the list, but they did only have 50 spaces.

Superman The Movie needs to be on there, arguably the most underated movie of all time!

And did they just copy out the filmfour schedule in order 1-50 or memorise them and then try to recall them giving them an order that way.

Yes there are some greats in there, but there is so much filler in there too that showed be used for other true classic/industry changing films instead. It's shameful how much of an ad for filmfour it is.
