    Exclamation Employment Opportunity

OK, after checking with Matt and his kindly approving it, I've actually got a vacancy here, and thought I'd post it so that any interested Hexites could apply:

    Desktop Support Assistant

Required to work in a medium sized company, supporting 200+ users. You will have good customer facing skills and an ability to handle a varied workload. You will be assisting the IT Manager and will report to him. The majority of the work will be desktop support of end users and you will be required to visit users at their desks to provide troubleshooting services and advice.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access are essential and specialist qualifications would be an advantage. Good Windows skills, to include file and folder management and management of print jobs. Microsoft Certified Professional on Windows 2000 or Windows XP desirable. Experience in troubleshooting hardware issues, specifically with PCs, printers, scanners and digital cameras required. Experience in a networked environment is preferred. Full driving license required, as visits to other sites will be necessary.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5pm.

    Attractive benefits package.
Please apply in writing giving details of career history to:
Nick Palmer, IT Manager, Eric Wright Group Ltd.,
Sceptre House, Sceptre Way, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR5 6AW

Or by email to nickp AT ericwright.co.uk.

Sorry, this is construction - if they don't see an actual person with a pulse, then they fret that you're not paying them enough attention...

I'd do it, but again, Preston out of the way - what was the wage btw? dependant on experience or set?

Really dependent upon experience. That said, I don't need someone with too little experience, and I'd be looking to pay in line with industry rates.
