I don't normally do stuff like this.....

I work with a guy at work who is in a band with his sister and they are amazing. I know the A&R guy who looks after the sugababes and I want to give him their CD but want to make sure..

Do you mind taking a quick listen to their songs and let me know what you think.

I'm a massive myspace hater so sorry for sending you there

    Myspace! aaaaahhhhhhh

Let It Go doesn't really appeal to me.

Hidden Agenda actually sounds very groovy. I really like her vocals in the song but his voice doesn't seem to go with hers too well, sound as though they're clashing.
I'd be really interested to hear that song with just her vocals.

If You Wanna Leave, great opening from her again! He put me off again when he started singing though.

They sound promising though! With the state of the charts these days there's no reason why anybody should be overlooked. With the right angle even us Hexus members could probably cook up a single.

    Worth giving them a shot!

Listened to Let It Go... I really like that song, great stuff!, Definitely heard worse.

Edit: @Parm: I think they go good together (their voices), obviously they don't match... but the woman has a nice voice and the guy has quite a good deep voice which goes well with the rock... which I like.

Personally I don't like her voice.

The way it goes "oooooooooooooooh yeaaaaaaah" every 10 seconds really gets me.

    Sorry for being negative!

They are brother and sister, I have seen them live a couple of times and are really good. It's all positive feedback at the end of the day

The introduction riff sounds familiar. I love the guitar and I really like it.

She takes away the harshness of his voice. On occasions she wails a bit too much, but I have to admit I think that I'd really be interested in hearing more of their stuff.

Pretty good stuff, bear in mind though no-one high up in the industry is liable to touch them without the bog standard press pack b/s -

Bio/General Info on the band, Promo Pictures etc etc aswell as a cd.

They're a good band though, a decent manager, a fair slab of promotion and a better mastered cd could see them do well tbh.

Well, it's listenable at least. Like XA04 said, I've definately heard worse. I don't like the lot of 'yeeeeeaaaaahhh'-s in the song, but not bad at all. I especially like the guitars (in the parts where they don't sound heavy). May they keep up the good work

Aargh! The guitar sounds are awful - step *away* from the Chorus/Flanger... (and the distorted sounds are too thin and nasal - add a bid of mid back in).

It's not really my kind of music, and I agree that the woman is rather too warbly. It doesn't really gel together.

(also, the lyrics of 'If You Wanna Leave' are truly terrible).

Sorry for the disencouragement, but I don't think this will sell.

edit: That opening riff from 'Let It Go' is definitely borrowed from somewhere. Can't think where at the moment.

Agreed on the guitar sounds, thats where a good studio should've stepped in and re-amplified the guitarists parts, the drum sound isn't fantastic either tbh.

Bad production and slightly sketchy lyrics won't stop them if they package themselves correctly however and I'd still rather hear that on the radio than babycakes tbh
