    "Lowest on web"'s price matching

How far does it go? Do they just match? or undercut by a penny? or do they make it worth going to them?

The camera I wanna buy is 265+5.60 at pixmania and 304.95 on lowest on web. But if they will only match it by a tiny amount then its not worth bothering with them.

Has anyone had any experience with them?

Never tried it myself, but logic would suggest to just buy from pixmania.

Having had no end of problems ordering from Lowestonweb I will never ever use them again, so as above just buy from pixmania. In fact I would buy from pixmania even if they were the more expensive retailer!

While i think this is a useful discussion nonetheless I have also decied that rather than playing silly buggers they should have had low prices to start with. So it's ordered from pixmania.

just make sure what you have got it UK spec and stock - Pixmania is based in France and potentially your product could be classed as a grey import in warranty terms. just check it when you get it to be sure.

I wouldn't worry about that, mostly likely it's the exact same spec throughout the EU and if you do need send it back France is not far anyway

OTOH having had to return something to Lowestonweb in the past, it would have been easier for me to have hand-delivered it to Dr No's secrect bloody underwater base. The absolute c**ts.

Apparently pixmania have a london pick up store, so hopefully its all good.

On the plus side i grabbed a 2gb 133x SD card from our buddies at scan which just happened to be on today only too! (+a 2gb pend drive).

I've ordered from lowest on web. It was the logitech MX1000 mouse, came within 2 days, had no problems or anything and free postage too...so i would have got from lowestonweb and saved on the postage but since you've already bought it now, guess it doesnt matter.

And btw i bought my speakers from pixmania and it came with a european plug so i had cut it off and swap it for an English one.

They won't price match everything even if it's cheaper elsewhere - you simply put in a request and see what they say.

I know that, but the point is, if they do beat it, do they beat it by an insignificant amount or do they do it by say 10-30-50% of the difference, like some other price promise places do. In any case its ordered now.

I bought some stuff from LOW a while back. Took a while for me to get my stuff, but that was because one of the items was out of stock, so can't really complain. Was a lot cheaper than buying them elsewhere anyway, so I'm still happy. Free delivery is nice too.

I think what they do is.........you send order........if they can match the price you will pay "that" price and the order will be processed.

If they cannot match it they let you know and the order doesn't proceed.....unless you wish to.

If they do match the price you have to factor in the free delivery which could sway the decision in some instances.

    Hope this helps.
