    Question Shipping a PS2

Anyone got any ideas who I should get to deliver a PS2 I'm going to sell? Mainly going for cheapness, but they must offer enough insurance to cover to cost of it incase it gets lost or something. I've been thinking of doing this for a long time now, but the main reason I've not done anything about I have no idea how to deliver anything larger than a small parcel .

The games are easy to get sorted, I'm just really looking for advise on how to deliver my PS2 and everything else .

Gold start to the best helper .

Never had ANY issues with http://www.apc-overnight.com/index_norm.htm

Well, our local same day courier co franchised out with them providing the overnight stuff. Website looks okay, phone 'em up, away you go!
    Well Hello!

OK, so finding someone to ship it shouldn't be as hard as I thought then.

Assuming it all goes as a bundle (PS2, steering wheel, games, multi tap etc), am I really better putting it all into the same box?

Is it worth all the effort of finding a box big enough, or is it pretty much only based on weight?

It's not £8 for anything anymore, except a large envelope. DHL had a hissy fit because they were losing money and introduced a new pricing scheme that's supposed to be...better. In other words it's a complete rip off now, don't bother. In my store we've not had a single parcel sent through us since the new structure was introduced 3 weeks ago.

Edit: So you know, it doesn't go on weight (though there is a maximum weight on each size...) but on size. There are about 8 different sized premade envelopes/boxes and whatever you want sending must fit in one (that's prepackaged too btw, you can't just stick the item in on it's own). If it doesn't fit in any of them then it's tough sh*t, basically. Only insured for £100 too, if you send anything worth more then that's all you'll get. Complete con, glad I don't work on the Copy Centre.

Well, I think I'm going to just send it down to the post office. I'll weight it before hand and get an idea of the price from the internet. Just not sure if I really need to ship everything in as few boxes as possible, as it's obviously easier to do it individually, but is it a lot more expensive?

Yeah more expensive for more boxes. Just get a big box and lots of bubblewrap. Works a treat

I would just take it down to the post office, send it parcelforce tbh. Cheap enough for the 48hr service, insured, and easy to do with no need for accounts.

Your other option is a service like parcel2go, or citylink..but parcel2go work out more expensive, and if you want the parcel to arrive in one piece don't send it citylink

As for packing it up, one box is preferable - wrap everything in bubblewrap, tape it up, and pack it in a box. if you need to (ie small items) you can tape them to the box with some parcel tape...should be fine
