The photo is so *blatantly* doctored you have to wonder what's going on, especially when the photographer concerned comes up with nonsense like "he was trying to remove dust marks and that he made mistakes due to the bad lighting conditions" (you mean you turned down the brightness on your computer screen? ). The background is significant, this guy supposedly has over 10 years' experience working for Reuters and has also posted many photos from Qana which are now suspected of being staged.

He could have at least used a smaller brush and a bit of blur

What with this and numerous other occurences, like the Sun's Abu Ghraib crap, it's becoming hard to trust some photographic reporting.

I'm actually more amazed how bad the manip is rather than the fact he tried to get away with it. Man for £50 i'd of done a proper manip for him

This is only a tiny bit of the manipulation that goes on. After a missile hits reporters can't wait to sign up for the Hizbollah guided tour, people running around with dead people intentionally in front of the camera, the suspiciously placed shoes and clothes which have no reason to be there.

    *warning, contains distressing pictures*

    Brilliant blogs those

Note, also that the actual death toll turned out to be half of what was said initially. Death tolls generally rise after incidents, not fall.
