our biology dpt emailed us telling us all to watch it, lovely...
i seen a clip on richard and judy. It wasnt too bad. I've seen worse pics online of a similar incident. Maggot behind someone's eye.
I seriously hope the big one was rolled up inside a stool when the fella passed it out - imagine having to pull six feet of tapeworm out of your arse? Not knowing it was only six feet long.... or that it was a tapeworm?
Putting me right off my tea this is. Hmm, new diet coming on - watch this programme before each mealtime and see how much you eat!
Sounds like something out of some old low budget Sci-Fi movie...
"Mike passed out an intact, six foot long tapeworm. "
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
Thats horrible......

I used to work in parasitology research.
There are some gruesome things out there.
Well, it's a good job I've eaten already - and that it's had long enough to settle - but still... YUK!
Dunno if this was on the proggie (missed it, bah!) but what about the candiru? It's a miniture aquatic parasite the usually lives inside fish gills, however it has been known to pop inside the urethra (wee tube) of humans weeing into the water, mistaking the wee stream for that of a water stream from fish gills. Onceinside, it grips on with hooks and has to be removed surgically.
OW!
Thats one big-ass bogie! God Diyam.
*shudder*..... ewness........

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeww...just been watchin this, and it was disgusting! very intersting though, should help my biology at college metinks.
used to work in a bacteriology dept at a large teaching hospital - usually judt saw routine stuff but from time to time (usually just after the summer holidays) saw some interesting parasites from time to time!
Maybe just getting one of these things would be a good way to diet - you'd be eating for two then! :)
/digs into his bombay badboy pot noodle ;p
Ok - I don't have anything intelligent to add but I felt the need to say:
EW!
YUK!
BARF!
just watched part of it aswell. almost was sick at the bit showing the worm coming out little girls FOOT! and they said it can get out your tongue or ears aswell as s*****g it out, painfull? i think so!
I used to work and play football with Dr Iain Barber (the fish man)
/me wishes he still worked in parasitology
I wonder if you can feel it moving around inside... Nice...
