Check out the Pakuma bags at Scan - not sure on price but I can tell you the HEXUS team used them for the 2006 CeBIT event in Germany and many more since, they rock - well built and so much more...seriously, they are worth the money...
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net

Another vote for Crumpler here too, a bit pricey but well worth it!

I use a laptop satchel bag from Muji. It's the khaki version of this:

I bought a Trust rucksack (£20 off eBay.. but you can get them from lowestonweb for £14 )

It's good, doesn't really look like a laptop bag either.. and it doesn't look as (imo) camp as the leather laptop handbags.

i think a laptop bags should be something you should keep with you as long as possible. say it becomes your best friend, so spend as much money as you can on something that is good quality and would keep your crown jewls safe.

Id recommend Pakuma (expensive, but worth it) - though I ended up getting a normal Quiksilver Campus messenger bag (~£35) which has padding and dividers to hold laptops and no way looks like an obvious laptop bag.

Really hate how some laptop bag makers just stick their logo everywhere making it obvious what is held inside - shouting 'STEAL ME'...
