SG-1 dropped?
Nooooooooooooooooooo!
hmm, channel switch again?
Well if it's true then I'm not that surprised after 10 years but you would think sci-fi would milk the cash cow for all its worth.
It is possible, although I'd accept it being laid to rest if they did a Farscape: Peacekeeper wars style sendoff
I think that would be uncessary as Farscape was axed prematurely so it needed peackeeper wars to round up all those lose ends in terms of story.
Where as Stargate SG-1 has pretty much done everything so hopefully they can end things with the current storyline because the villains are getting pretty overpowered as it is.
i hate farscape and stargate... so sorry to the fans of these, but im partying tonight, hopefully something less tripe will be on tv always seems to be on channel 4 or 5, or whatever they put it on when i put the box on! :)
*dons his invincible flame proof jacket, with extra heat retardancy layer*
argh still atlantis :( how many spin off nonsense shows do they want to make
*runs*
A good poing e-LAN-go (ignoring Swafe :P)
Ah well, at least I've got all five series of Babylon 5 to go back to.
and all the spin off mov... no, let's not go near thoseQuote:

Thats a kick in the teeth isnt it.
Star Trek TNG > All the other nonsense mentioned in this thread.
and that only lasted 7 seasons, like all of the other Star Trek franchises....Quote:

Its basicly Mcguyver with worm holes and its the most predictable sci fi in the world. Personally i think the new Battle star galactica is much more entertaining (even the missus enjoys it!) and a new season starts in the states soon, yayyyyy!
bah, gutted with this news :(. All but one of the Sci-Fi's i like have been dropped; Strek, threshold and now SG1. I've only got Atlantis to look forward to now. I can't see SG1 going to another channel while SCI-FI airs Atlantis either. If SG1 is still popular world wide why scrub it? :(:(
EDIT: If its dead for good they should do a film to round it off or somthing :).
*yawn* ;)
They should have axed them all and just left firefly.
I miss firefly
Absolutely GUTTED about SG-1 being axed... I've followed it since the season one. Really sad to see it go.
Have to agree with G4Z though. BSG FTW. I managed to get her watching it, after getting her into LEXX, Farscape and Firefly. She won't touch Stargate though.
Firefly was shiny. Wish they would bring it back, or at least make another movie.Quote:

Well SG1 was fun, but now i'm watching it out of habit rather than real enjoyment (sadly) and atlantis features some of the worst acting _evar_ in recent tv lol :)
I mourn the loss of truely epic Sci-Fi like Bablyon 5 and the sheer inventiveness of Farscape.. Pretty much all the Star Trek stuff is mind numblingly simplistic by comparison although they did try with DS9 to get a more pervasive story line in there, it still always felt like 'america in space' - fun but by no means challenging.
Gutted :(
Saying that 10 years is quite a long time for a Sci-fi program to run.
Hopefully they'll launch a spin-off apart from atlantis which is getting better, but it's still occasionally contains more ham than a Deli counter at Asda.
dito i love it to bitsQuote:

TNG is quality though. And on Sky 1\2\3 a minimum of 147 times a day!
