Does anyone know what is the best option to go for at hairdressers, they always ask me if i want a squared or tapered neck and I have no idea what to ask for? I find it quite embarrising tbh

Basin cut I reckon
leave it.
Tell them your growing a mullet and to snip the sides.
For a more dramatical feel. Make sure you have a bottle of lipton ice tea in your pocket for drinking on the way out
thanks lee i dont think ive laughed so hard all day.. ROFL
I'd love to do that but all the girls i know reckon my hair looks better long so i've left it to grow, but whenever my hair's dry it looks like i have a mushroom head so should i get my hair cut or not, its such a dilema, whatever shall i doOriginally Posted by unreal
why not take a girl friend in with you and get them to tell the hair dresser what to do?
I'm quite lost when it comes to getting my hair cut, so i don't get it done nearly as much as i should. Should have had it done this week i think, will be away for three weeks so it'll be desperate before i get back.
Don't let them run your life. If you start now you'll be buggered once you get married.Originally Posted by kasavien

i decided to shave mine off in november and have never looked back, i used to spend a good 15mins in front of the mirror sorting my hair out but now its just a quick wash, and im done
ive been letting it go shorter and shorter each time i do it, im now on the stage where the clipper has no guard on there at all, im thinking about using a razor next time

Seriously though i find a short back and sides just the ticket (at least while i still have hair )you can then style it pritty much how you want
Like people say, get it cut in a way you are comfortable with. A decent hairdresser will be able to offer you some advice. There’s nothing wrong with listening to other people's opinions, they can judge the way you look far more objectively.
Personally I’d always go for a tapered neck as I think squared looks so harsh. Apparently, if you have a thin neck then a squared neck will add width. There are loads of tips around if you search in Google, e.g. What Hair Suits My Face?, but to be honest a lot of these things are no better than the "pulling" tips in lads mags.
Without knowing what you look like, get it cut with layers and leave some of the length. Then play around with some styling products at home when you haven't got to go out. I use Tigi stuff myself. Maybe you should post a pic of what you look like currently, then again looking at some of the helpful comments above...
