Looooong shot, might get someone that I can exchange opinions with..
only a tiny smattering, usually as part of game soundtracks
well, thats not too bad for all accounts.. only got into it during late varsity when I sunk myself into every possible anime available on import shelves.. :P
JRock came in after accidentally listening to some Luna Sea albums over the international section in HMV Australia..
After which I was so hooked to it..
Thats all? One?
If I have a choice no.
never really heard of either could you post a few links for some tracks i'd been interested in listening
not so much as listen, but occasionally Im even too lazy to skip the intro's and end up getting an earful.
does Mad Capsule Markets count as JRock?
I listen to all the Initial D song packs. Does that count? :) I suppose it's more eurobeat than jpop/jrock.
I'm off to listen to Move - Nobody Reason now.

At moment , I listern to lots of Yoko Kanno stuff. It really cheer you up after a long and stressful day. you can listern to some of her stuff at

ahh.. why dont you have a choice?
umm.. links.. you tube any good? The videos are a little dodgy, they're japanese afterall. Just listen to the music will do.. I dont speak japanese (tho i've learnt quite abit from just music alone), but the tunes are radiating enough to keep me listening..
Probably post the bands that I listen to the most..

Something different but I enjoyed it nonetheless..

Ok.. music to everyone is fairly subjective.. if you don't like it, just don't go like 'its b*ll*cks.. worst music ever!!'
The only Yoko Kanno songs I listen are those she wrote for Maaya Sakamoto.. esp Vision of Escaflowne theme.. its perhaps the nicest catch anime tune ever IMHO..
I actually have all of Maaya's albums.. her voice is fairly easy to the ears, again.. really easy going esp from a stressful day..
My Jrock albums are mostly from Yellow Monkey, Luna Sea, La'cryma Christi, L'Arc~En~Ciel and a host of other bands.. Sometimes I might go for GLAY but IMO far too corny for my own liking..
Jpop goes from anything into older DREAM, Do as Infinity etc..
And yes.. once in a while Initial D tunes are pretty ok too.. MOVE is relative small for all accounts, but the song they make are pretty nice for periodic hearing IMO anyways..

one of my favorite songs too..
I like the Initial D soundtracks too.
DDR Music is also pretty good :D
Initial D music makes you drive really fast.. thats all I can say.. :)
But its chaos when you listen to them while you're reading..
true! i like spaceboy, it makes good driving music:D
Well, I listen mostly Japanese Game/Anime music, and sometimes Doujin (if you know what it means) music.
I'm listening to BLACK LAGOON Original Soundtrack at the moment :)
so thats it? thats everyone?
I went through a phase of listening to a lot of Every Little Thing, and I like the cheesier tunes from DDR like Butterfly and Dub-I-Dub. In general, if it's cheesy pod/dance, I like it;).
What do you guys think of the JRock links I posted?
I like a bit of Jpop and Jrock now and again. I've seen Polysics in London about 5 or 6 times now. Pretty damm crazy it was and I throughly enjoyed it everytime  I'm quite keen on the music featured in the DDR games and being an avid fan with approx 2000 DDR step files I have heard a fair bit of J POP. I'll have to have a look at the links from you tube at another time. By the way is Intial D the movie any good? The game if its related in any way completly sucks.
Initial D the movie is probably the best one yet.. but perhaps a little rushed.. nonetheless still legendary..
Only complaint is that it rehashed a little too much music from 1st stage..
I'll have to get hold of it then, I swear I have seen it up for grabs for a tenner and in multibuy offers :)
I heard a song by Yoko Kano that I quite liked, and got the CD - wow, genres all over the place, hip-hop, electro, pop, every song was different. This was a bit of a shock.
most jap song writers are pretty well rounded.. most of their music can be very different..
What about Gackt, Orange Range, Uverworld (the latter two bands did the intro music to Bleach), Plus Tech Squeeze Box, Glay and theres a band that performed the F-Zero songs who are amazing to say the least.
I'd like to point out that I like these bands but in general J-Rock I've heard is too cheerful and upbeat for me, I prefer the darker, gritty, subverse, undertones of Cradle Of Filth, Marilyn Manson, Misfits, Slipknot and other bands.
ehehe.. true, jap rock bands are in general a little less of a misfit..
Gackt is alright IMO, but Glay has just gone far too cheesy.. they were pretty good over the 1st album, but then it just went downhill from there.
