:p
Hahaha.
^^
lol to the above
I had my nose broken in Ibiza this year after some drunken messing about in the sea, luckily mine isnt crooked.. well not too bad anyway. Ive decided to leave as is. When yours broke was it gushing with blood like it would never stop?
i broke mine when i was about 6 ( the normal kid thing and thought i could fly lol) you can only tell on me if you look from the side from the front it looks normal,
it does get to me when people start talking about noses as i then become aware of mine but its never really bothered me tbh apart from that lol
(if people only like you for shear looks there sad sad people)
tbh i think they will re-break it and then set it again and you'll have to walk round with a white thing across your face for like 6 weeks or something like that
mart_haj86 i can remember mine pouring with blood my mum thought i was gonna die with the amount of blood i lost :(
The surgeon usually refractures the bone with a chisel then shifts them into a more natural alignment. You wake up with a splint on your nose.
Do a search for rhinoplasty and you'll find a load of plastic surguery websites catering for prospective patients, heh. But they often carry useful patient info.
well when i was in a kids home
iwas always getting in to fights i broke my nose approximetly 9 - 10 times
every time i went to my uncles he couldt stand the sight of it so he used
bribe me in to letting him replace it i wish i didnt but he did a gd job
i can hardly tell its been broken now
yes it hurt but atleast i didnt have to hav a thingy bob over my nose for about 5-6 ws lol
Bit more like this then

I went for a header, and a crazy yugoslav guy I work with decided it would be a good idea to try to kick the ball. I got there first :(. Gotta wait until thursday to have it reset.
Should I have local or general anaesthetic?

I don't know if my nose will ever be normal again, but it seems to be a clean break just below the bridge.
Quick and very funny lolQuote:

There were no chisels, or re-breaking invovled since it was done soon enough after the break that it hadn't set.
The worst thing about it was spending time in the ear, nose and throat ward. It was full of people with cancer having their lungs drained etc. It was pretty nasty. On the plus side, one of the nurses was pretty tasty.
This thread is making my nose hurt. I broke mine playing football on ice-covered asphalt but it didn't need resetting, just have a small lump now.
Used to be a saying where I was that you don't have a (unique) face until you've had a broken nose.
Anyone with any medical training (watching casulty counts) knows that the only known treatment for genital warts is a wire brush + Brasso + plenty of elbow grease.
ctid, you'll be fine, smarts abit but not much.
ask for morphine ive heard its fun
You kept this quiet mart? Was this in San An? What the eck were you doing? :DQuote:

I've got to go back again next thursday for a checkup, to see how it's healing, and if it is perfectly in line.
As it is now: (it still doesn't look too straight because of the bruising and swelling)

Aye, looks fine now. I'd hate to have a wonky nose, I already have uneven ears after two mastoidectomies on my left ear (it now sits quite noticeably closer to my head).
Its odd, i've always had a squint nose as long as I can remember - I dont think i've ever broken it though...
its that scottish air ;)
looks pretty much sorted.... but
are u wearing makeup?? :stop:
Nice one bruv, its looking much better, the pain will be worth it! I broke mine once and someone else broke mine once! Never had it re set, it hurt like hell the first time, but not as much the second..... Third times a charm as they say!
Just try not to sleep on it! Not if you want to wake up in a cold sweat during the night!
makeup? wtf? what do you think I am? :lol:Quote:
