I did read the headline, there doesnt seem to be much to the story tho'. A prise to the first person to post a photoshop of Lucas holding large bags of money.
Star Wars sitcom? ;)
hmm, if done well I could see myself loving that!
Although, if it was a rubbish attempt to get more bucks, im not for it.
Have heard rumours before that he wanted to do it, but never anything concrete to support it.
I'll be happy to see a well done series, can never get enough Star Wars action, though it would need to be quite rubbish to make me criticise it :P
I'd rather he did a third triliogy.
This BBC article is from April 2005, so old news!

Heard this a couple of times, not materialised yet.
Can any say 'Cash Cow'
I heard its about some followers of good ol' darth who teach themselves the force then rise up against the jedi. Thats probaby a load of sh*t though.
Oh god I hope not - the man managed to ruin the last 3 films. Heaven knows what he may do with a TV series. Ja Ja Binks funtime family gameshow anyone? grrrr.
As a footnote - I can't take anyone seriously who allowed the final word Noooooo! from Darth Vader in the last film. Went to see it the first time and the entire audience laughed out loud. Ooooh the Lord of Sith is having a bit of a strop.
I'm a big fan of Star Wars, I just hope they keep up the standards. If its good there is no reason it can run for as long as Star Trek.
I'm a bit of a Star Wars geek myself. :embarrassed:
I went to the premier of Revenge of the Sith in London (when they showed all 6 films one after the other!). Lucas and some of the cast came in after the movie and although he mentioned there wouldn't be anymore movies he did say they were working on a Star Wars TV series and Indiana Jones 4.
I'd rather they erased the last three films from existence and left us with the three 'originals'. No TV series, either.
Goes to prove George Lucas has no idea what the Star Wars universe is about. He got help writing the original trilogy which he stated in an interview with total film and as you can see his solo attempt at writing the prequels shows he can't write for love nor money. As for the TV series he needs to leave well alone, he needs to find the original reels and irradicate the "tweaked" remastered crap. He has well destroyed what is an all time classic.
I was going to, but this seemed so much more appropriate

O god this going to turn into a TV series of Droids anyone remeber that cartoon??? Hed be better of telling the story of boba fett as is told in rather good trilogy of books knocking around
I think I'd rather gouge my eyeballs out with a rusty teaspoon than see a star wars TV show. But hey, wouldn't it be funny if Spielberg or someone helped out? :D
I heard about this a while back and what immediatly sprung to mind was the 1978 TV "Holiday Special".
Turkey neck still refuses to aknowledge it's existance even today (which is a wonder for him as I'd have expected a box set of it with improved CGI, alternate scenes, different actors, changed voices... )
hmmm. things like this just make it seem like he wants more money
i know
lucas = star wars, but i'm sure he could introduce something totally new into the market
Bit of info here in an MTV George Lucas interview.
What old Georgy was refering to was a series based on some of the charecters we were shown in episodes 1 2 and 3, the Jedi that werent really in the story but saw them fighting and in the backround, the chick with the blue tenticles and so on. He didn't really explain further, tight lipped hugger he is, but he did also mention a couple more series of Clone Wars.
I rekon it's going to be massive !
by the time it airs the technology will be there to make effects similar to movie special effects, so like east enders with sabres and droids then.
I hadnt heard anything about it for quite a while. I do seem to remember some rumours stating that Kevin Smith may be involved in some way but that was probably just rubbish started by hardcore Smith/SW fans. Since then I havent heard anything new.
And for those people moaning about the edits... you do know about the limited edition box sets with the ORIGINAL cuts as well as the later revisions, which was released recently? :)
