There was no vote for spiritual, I believe we have spirits, but I'm an Athiest for this thread.

I "lost" my way when I was about 11 and I have drifted even further away from religion and I'll never EVER go back.

Seems religion is only out to get more followers than the other religion but if you ask me, Buddism is the best way to go as it seems most logical but I'm not willing to enslave myself to anything.

I think rather than follow something that already exists and that you've been told of is not as fulfilling as finding something that YOU personally believe in with all of your heart.

Needless to say, I haven't found anything yet but then again I'm not really looking.

Perhaps instead of a religion, I discovered a new love for specific things, like creating music with instruments, trying to reach people with it, having a greater respect for people I mean its things like this that religions preach.

Very much a catholic - not a practicing one though but I definately have faith. I often pray and wear the Rosary, though it did make me laugh a couple of years ago when everyone was wearing them for fashion. Religion is a personnal choice, I would never attempt to force religion down peoples necks.
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...

Sorry buddy, that was my intention with the 3rd option. Will try harder next time.

I am very interested that you think it's a choice. To be clear, do you think that it is a choice, or that it should be a choice?
I personally do not see very many choices being made (occasionally, but so rarely that it wouldn't register on the richter scale) and see most people following a belief of those around them (parents, teachers, friends, societies etc).
I once met a family, quite a 'hippy' type family in france, who were teaching their 5 year old 5 different core religions as well as a number philosophical leanings on a daily basis (as well as 4 languages spoken fluently, daily! )

    Oooh, now I like that.

I voted for the last option. The cynic in me doesn't buy into any relegion I've ever come across, but I'm not ruling anything out. We are but a speck in a corner of the universe, after all.

Christian. No "style" (evanglist - Roman Catholic etc) I read the Bible and interpret it in my own way. I don't enforce my opinion on anyone, nor do I advertise my Religion. It's personal to me. I have a good relationship with "the big man" and I feel all the better for it.

Just bear in mind, if I'm wrong, I've wasted a little of my life trying to be a better person. If I'm right, you're all burning in hell. HAHAHAHA

Pascal (famous french mathematician) said something similar to that. see here -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal's_Wager the only problem being what if you chose the wrong religion to follow.

as some know, am a Christian, been one for about 25 years, have a personal relationship with Mr Big. No denomination but am church-going

Buddhism, for those that are curious, is not a religion but a philosophy that many mistakenly take to be a religion.

faith? yes, all people have faith as has been pointed out, whether it be in a deity, in a specific train of thought, in a certain practice, in one's own logic -as being of worth even without certain proof.

and I don't believe in blindly following something because someone tells you it to be so, but STRONGLY advocate personal revelation. For example, a Christianity that is about simply performing certain behaviours / practices is not Christianity but a religious tradition - it has no depth. Christianity is about a personal relationship, not tradition.

and for those who find Christians who cower at certain questions: you're speaking to the wrong people, which while comfortable, is self-defeating.

well, there ya go. my 2c

    Definately religious (Christian).

Bit of an odd selection of options though First two are very similar (IMO strong faith makes it central to your being, that's the point of it ) and there's no 'religious but non-practising' option And yeah, agnostic and atheist are very different

I believe that humankind created humankind in a self-perpetuating paradox which tethers the beginning of the universe to the end of time, but hey, that's just the kind of guy I am.

You should have made a distinction in the poll between agnostic and atheist. What exactly was whichever almighty you believe in thinking when He introduced snot into His divine plan?

There isn't a word in the English language that succinctly describes my 'faith' as fuddam calls it. I however would most definately not call it faith though, the word alludes and is simply emanatory to that of the 'devout'.
