All I can say is that if there is a God, he's got a lot of explaining to do....
if he really did exist, he'd probably think the same of us.

people understand that agnostic is just the Greek word substituted in during politically correct time for the Latin root which is Ignoramus right?. In my humble opinion if there is one issue you do need to get off the fence about its this.

Ignoramus, of course, meaning not knowing.
So i think it's quite appropriate.
It's really not a bad thing to be ignorant of a subject, as long as you are perhaps open to be willing to learn.

Alterion, please dont use the fact that some here (including myself) dont know a thing as an insult - that is insulting. We should simply learn.

Was confirmed about three years ago but since wrote a series of private essays to assess my metaphysic and realised I have pretty much no faith in any main religion and so began assessing aspects of the world etc. a philosophical quest if you like. I now class myself as agnostic with regular meditations and further writings and just strong (if not weird beliefs in certain things).

If there is some big shiny guy to judge us all when we die, and I happen to beleive there is, then he's going to have take me as I am.

Actually, he doesn't have to do anything. If your not on the list, your not getting in.

Sorry but your second sentence invalidates your first.
He does have to do something, he has to exclude my name when making up the list. Anyway I thought it was Santa that made a list of the bad and the good?

Technically, what anything is, is the sum of its parts, so for us genetic and social added, and percentified if you want to be comparitive.

since we have little degree of cotrol over gentics we must look at the influence of society, considering factors such as identity as opposition, role models and the forming of (human) networks , we see that whether we like it or not, even the things we hate direct our personalities,
then to some extent we are all a little religious in a sense that modern human beings are the cumalation of hundreds of years of eithical pasturisation. And being a devout religerouser, i guess, is no different to the feeling a football fanatic gets at the height of footy season, 'coz of the group bond thingy.
The point that global communication and sticky information spagetti highway being the norm for kids nowadays, i rekon, means that nothings free from debate from god -i mean God ( in case!!)- to to royalty to mcdonalds to err...bur..ger...king.
But then again, maybe there isnt a God and, you know another higher power out there pretending to be God, so we dont actually find out that it's the real 'superiour being', doing a Keiser Sozae, weaving all this till time memorial until the point where..... and then no more debate !

    uhhh i think i'm an antagononistic..err yeah

Not really, your previous statment suggested you had some sort of authority over God, which you don't. And its not a case of him excluding you from the list, he's given you the chance to be on it.

Santa soon forgets about you after childhood any way.

"Yeah, well, I'd been smoking a bit that day. But the rich, they got huge blenders and put camels into them and made them into liquid camel, and then they squirted them with very fine jets through the eyes of needles. So they're all coming up now."

Which goes back to my statement that he can take me as I am, the statement infers 'or not'. I don't see how it implies I have authority over a omnipient being, that would by definition be impossible. Just that I live my live doing the best I can, and what he makes of that is upto him.
