    Talking karma

    OK heres a funny story..

I work in a hospital and i didnt bring my lunch today so i had to go down stairs to the little store and Break a $100 Dollar bill so i can buy some food ( Christmas Money ). Any ways i go up to the teller and ask her if she could exchange it for smaller bills. She counts out ten 20 Dollars bills and hands it to me ( 200 Dollars 100 more then i gave her ) and walks away.. So i stand there for a min and think about it and i turn around and go get her so i can give her back the extra money. Again i count out the ten 20 dollar bills she gave me and she just looks at me, then she realizes the mistake and thanks me for being honest. So feeling like a nice guy i walk out and go get some food ( mind you iam still in a HOSPITAL ) I sit down and start eating my food, there are 2 nurse's and 1 doctor in the cafe.. All of a sudden i start to choke! i can hear the people around me talking say " i think that guy is choking" After a few seconds that felt like min's i finaly stop choking. No one got up to help me or Pat me on the back to help me out or anything... and iam in the middle of a HOSPITAL!!! So i figure if i had not given back the 100 Dollars i would have Choke and Died due to the Dumb people around me .

Talking in dollars so you're obviously in the US.

The other way I know is that in this country (UK), if you were choking you'd have to wait two hours to see a triage nurse, a further hour to be seen by a doctors who'd then refer you to a specialist who sends you a letter 6 weeks later for an appointment 8 months away..... and then he'll tell you there's nothing he can do and you should've gone to see him as soon as you'd started choking as he could've helped then....

    /irony mode = off

Im not sure doesn't Karma effect your next life not your existing life?, and supposedly you get re-incarnated every time you die and the things you do in your last live's are what effect what happens in this life?

So the way i see it your bad karma caused you to choke on your food and the good deed you did earlier does not help you here (you see as it effects your next life) Also the good dead you did earlier on would help you in your next life, after choking to death

Or if you're a christian, after you choked on the food and died the good deed would help you get into the pearly gates.

Yeah, its like when they get you breathe into a paper bag to help stabalise your breathing - All it does it make you realise you can't stabilse it, thus making you panic more!

you gained $100, should've gone to a resteraunt and got a nice non-chokable-on meal , but whats done is done, you did the 'right' thing which i doubt many people would have done...
