Take it apart and leave it under a small lamp or something to dry it out. Should be okay after 24 hours if you are lucky.

I think Samuel L Jackson recently did a public information film about this.

Stick it next to the central heating tank. Should work quicker than a lamp. Not on it though, like on a shelf near it or something.

Or you could use a radiator, electric heater, etc.

Just make sure it is off :\

    Take the battery out too

I jumped in a river at a gig (wearing full hawaian gear) with my phone in my pocket. The screen never worked again . It still called people though!

There was me thinking that Snakebite was Larger & Cider + some red coloured spirit? if so it's liable to make the buttons etc rather sticky, so might need to clean those carefully too.

Last time a mate of mine did something like that, he claimed off his household insurance for 'accidental damage' got a new phone out of it

surely the next thing to do would be to to dunk it in a chaser, say bells, then have a smoke.

yeh just try to take it apart as much without completly dismantling it, try to get gaps into the actual case (after taking the battery out, let this dry naturally i wouldnt put it on the radiator , perhaps infront of it on an news paper), if you can lift one of the corners then this can let air in to dry the circuit an whatnot,
leave it over night man, and try it tomorrow. let us know how it goes !!

    Snakebite is Beer+Cider. Snakebite+Black is Beer+Cider+Blackcurrant

If it does work, it won't half be sticky!

just left it under a lamp, i kinda works. it starts but havent bin able to test it with calls, as i think the sims busted. the screen works but lightings not even, camera still works, mini sd doesnt, again dont really know if its the phone or the card.

stickiness isnt too bad, just the slides stiffer than before.

tried the sim in other phones and its not detected. don't know anyone on the same network as me either. mite have to get 3 to send me a new sim i reckon.
luckily ive gota spare phone i can use for now tho.

ill do it a bit more testin later on, looking hopefull atm, hope it keeps working :S

Wouldn't have thought there was much to go wrong with the sim - try cleaning the contacts?
