Thanks for introducing me to this concept guys!
Used it today because an auction was expiring whilst I was at work.
    Brilliant!
Got a rarish book, nice and cheap for $15 - but postage is $34. Still cheaper than buying it in the UK and it is a birthday present, so I am well happy.
    Cheers

It definately seems like the best way to bid. No more bidding wars

Lets just hope all your usernames and passwords dont end up somewhere on the intarweb at some stage in the future. I mean if i wanted to net 100,000 ebay accounts what would be the best way of doing it? Oh I know, I'll write some software that everyone has to enter thei account details into....

I've decided to use a temporary password everytime I use auction sniper.

Yep, just change your password after you finish using it, simple.

I know this probably sounds like I have nothing better to do with my time, but why not do what I do, and manually snipe auctions? Most end at sensible times of the day, so just sit there refreshing, and click the bid in with a few seconds to go.

If you've got a good connection, you can often cut it as close as 5 seconds before auction close - it's exhilarating and doesn't spoil the buzz by letting a proxy do it for you..
