    Question Ebuyer?

Sorry if this isnt where its meant to be, not too sure where else to put it - pls move if needed

Ive put an order in on ebuyer, they've informed that one of the items Ive ordered is not in stock and unless I remove/replace with another product it from my order within 48 hours, the other items will be made available again for other customer's allocation. They tell me to click a link where Im able to do it, but it takes me to My Orders page and there's nothing there for me to remove/replace the item - and I want the other items for sure, so how do I do this??

Thats really out of order of them to do that, why cant they just send the other items to you anyway??

Last time i had to deal with them and change something, i rang them up and asked for a different item in place of a particular product.

Also try logging on to there website and seeing if you can alter the order, as normally they dont charge until they send the order so you could probably alter the order, remove the offending item or cancel the complete order.

Its only the 2nd time Ive ordered through them myself, and both times there's been a problem.

This is the problem originally stated - Ive tried to do this (as the email suggested) and there is nothing on my orders page (or anywhere else) that is letting me do this, all it says is "Awaiting Dispatch" - grrrrr. They've taken out my money already as well, so I am really confused/angry.

Sometimes you really do get what you pay for! (in this case, next to nothing!)

I'd call them, and talk to customer services - make sure they know (nicely of course!) that the onus is on them to sort it out - simply explain that as far as you're concerned, they've accepted the order - if they can't honor it, send the parts that are in stock, and when the missing bit arrives - they can send it to you next day delivery at no charge.

This is because they cant complete your order- they have to ask your permission for what to do next.

If you take a dvd to the counter in a shop an they dont have it in stock they would then have to ask you if you want to order or go somewhere else.

I have had this happen to me before. Click the link and there should be something to modify your order, click that then remove the other item. Hopefully the rest of your order should come through

How about just giving them a ring rather than blasting them here?

Tell them to change your order cos they wont have a clue how to instruct you on using the website

Well, thats just it. There is no options on my order - Ive actually clicked everything there is.

I've phoned, but I did have other stuff to do during the day other than be plebbed off with my order.

well, it's been 48 hrs and it's still at "waiting dispatch".

It's not much point in complaining, I had a 3 "note" (whats the notes thing about??) either way complaint on my last order and all it was was trying to get them to give me my HSF! OK, Im done . . . woooo-saaaaaaah.

In my experience, E-Buyer are total crap.

I haven't ordered anything from them in over a year, despite being tempted by their prices.

On average, it takes over 45 minutes of 'hanging on' the phone once they've answered, on a queue system, for which you're being charged, for them to actually answer you.

4 weeks to RMA a faulty stick of RAM, and up to two weeks delivery time on items supposedly in stock and promised within three days. And I could go on.

Good luck with your order, ACiD303, but in future I'd recommend using a different on-line supplier, Overclockers.co.uk and Kustom PC's are good and Scan aren't too bad, but e-buyer are the pits.

And, FWIW, Redstore are even worse, but that's another two stories.

Ive kinda given into the policy of if they dont dispatch my order, then they lose out. It is bad business for one, and Im not out to deface them from posting this - they can take my business or not. I am saving alot from ebuyer and with the profit margins they're getting from me, they're probably not too fussed.

I understand, and fair play to you, but, I'm sorry, whenever I hear 'e-buyer' it kinda hits a nerve, they really wound me up.

    Good luck.

I realise people do have problems with ebuyer, but i've ordered thousands of pounds of stuff over the last few years from there, and never had a problem with RMAs etc.

As far as delivery is concerned, if you need something next day it is best to stay away from ebuyer, but apart from that they offer a good service at rarely beatable prices.

I don't think it's right that just because a few users have had bad experiences they should completely slag off a good e-tailer.

stock levels are iffy on ebuyer. If there's only a few left, chances are it isn't in stock.
