Free Website Design!

Hi All,

I currently work as an IT consultant for a large UK IT company. Having progressed fairly quickly through my career (I am 23) I am now looking for a new challenge.

I am in the process of setting up a web design company and have managed to get the backing of my local council to provide local businesses with subsidised websites.

However they would like me to establish a portfolio first. As such I am willing to put together 20+ website for free of charge. This can include re-design of corporate identity, refresh of old websites etc.

The only requirements are that you either already have a domain and hosting or you are willing to pay for them the rest I will do completely for free.

In return I would just like feed back to help me on my way with my new venture. So things such as what you liked, didn't like, how to improve things, how much you think I should charge etc. And of course to be able to list you on my company website under the portfolio section.

I'm actually thinking of starting up a business website with a friend of mine in the near future. We're planning to create the back-end ourselves in ASP but if you wanted to design the front end of it then we could then use that in conjunction so the site would look how you design, but function underneath using our code.

I'll obviously need to discuss this with him and fill you in with more specific details, but if you're interested it's worth considering. Depends on what areas you need for your portfolio I guess.

if you want to do something fairly straightforward...My bands website needs serious updating!!! I designed it and I will be the first to admit that it could be a hell of a lot better!

Thanks for your great response. I have had lots of request for free websites and will be responding to them all over the weekend.

We just got our domain and hosting, thanks to all the people in the thread I asked in a little while ago we went with Brinkster. 3GB space and 75GB traffic... should last us a while Anyway the domain will probably go live sometime later today and we'll start with the ASP over the weekend. I might PM you with the URL once there's something there so you can see what you think.
