Dunno if anyone has seen this?
I was all for getting one untill I saw the power output (that would power ONE of my amps), It still looks like a good idea though.
They also sell Solar Panels

Depending on where you shove it (oooerrrr) you might need planning permission, that might go for panels as well. Will check with wife tomorrow as she is a planning bod at the council, she did the boroughs first wind turbine application (approved) the other week.
Cool, post here with an update!

Good for you doing your part to save the planet, <rant>unlike the weathly selfish people who live on Cape Cod and refuse to have wind turbines on their horizon. </rant> In my oppinion wind is could be a great power source (until, or if, they figure out fusion).
saw those when i walked into B&Q at the weekend. they also have a Buy One Get One Free offer on a lot of insulation.
there was something on the news yesterday about them. They were interviewing a guy that has panels and a turbine and actually made £20 last year on exporting electricity to the grid
the electricity regulator is looking to make it easier for members of the public to get the required billing/export equipment installed. Apparently it is a pain in the butt right now.
Just talked to wife
Turbines do require planning permission
Panels might require. Depends on elevation of roof they will be on, listed building, conservation area status, etc.
Its ment to be quiet easy to build your own wind turbine. Have a friend who uses a water turbine to generate electricity from a stream that runs alongside their castle.

It would power bugger all, and the price is about 18months of electricity
What power rating are you looking at? There's two - the windmill itself will generate 1,000w in peak conditions. There's also a 6watt figure mentioned for Plug 'n' Save. I've no idea what that is though.
Given that optimally it will save 30% on the average household leccy bill I tihnk it's pretty good value. Save money AND help ensure SE England doesn't get flooded every 6 months and hear politicians bleating about it. It'll also ensure that the vastly overpaid executives of our power generating companies will get smaller bonuses of only a few million a year. Bless.

They have a mini canon on one of the turrets, although hitting a laser armed sea bass with it could be a challenge. Might have to buy a harpoon gun
Lol. I read somewhere that you dont need planing permision for anything under 30ft

neg, as you're not gonna sit it 3 feet from the ground. i did some research into this a while ago, through windsave direct. Altogether to get the project completed, it was going to cost slightly over 4 grand iirc. Times change though, that was last year when there wasn't as much focus on saving energy.
