they actually fine you £1000, or did you get a bit more on top?
hughlunnon@yahoo.com | I have sigs turned off..
Within the last 4 years I'd been fined £903. I only wanted that back, no more, no less. I got £983 (the £80 was for my court charges.)
Congratulations! Finally paid off then!
3 months work, but worth it. I honestly believe justice has been done, there were times, when I was paid weekly, that due to a couple of fines (once I remember I went over by pence and got nailed) that I couldn't afford to buy any food.
I'm a happy chappy.
Did they close your account or did you do it?
Great result by the way
Nope, my bank account is still 100% open and usable. In fact the cheek *Insert naughty word* fined me last month.
Which I'm claiming back.
and so you should. Can i ask what the court said that they actually did wrong...overcharging, extortion etc
Banks must be getting letters every day now from people wanting to claim money back, I'm sure they will change their rules soon to reflect this soon.
It never got to court. Nobody has ever got that far. One person who insisted on going to court actually got back 600% of what he asked for to stop him.
I agree with Nick. It's time to hurry.
rofl i wanna build up some fees, i would only get back a hundred or so.
Congrats!
Barclays charged me £30 for bouncing an £8 direct debit the other week and the snotty woman on the phone told me that they did it to "stop you going overdrawn all the time". Always looking out for our best interests eh?
