    ZAP! Advertisements.... Argh!

Is anybody else being driven up the wall by these new internet ads that seem to be everywhere? I used to dislike the animated emoticon ones which would say things when you hovered the cursor over them, but they're not half as bad as these zap ones... The noise just lingers in the background until you click on the ad. The early versions had a 'No Sound' button on them, but apparently not anymore.

    Comments?

Some people may argue about the ethics of it - denying the websites their advertising revenue, but hey, just unblock it for the ones you like

Aye, don't block hexus as you will, quite literally, being taking the food off my table!

HEXUS is my income and ads help pay my and everyone one who works for HEXUS, salaries.

Even better, only block the sites that run those annoying pop up buzzing mosquito ads... costs you nothing to have the odd advert on the page you're viewing as long as it doesn't interfere with your browsing pleasure.

i have no problem with ads on sites like Hexus etc. where the ads are their main revenue stream, but online stores with adverts that aren't for themselfs really annoy me.

I completely agree with this. As long as Hexus don't start displaying intrusive adverts on their site I'm happy to have them there.
