complaining about it wont help, need interesting stuff here to keep people posting, rather than a quick browse then gone for the night

I haven't really noticed much, they haven't been as lively, but all forums go through patches. They have however been as active as usual

Also, is it me or is the sound card box in the "my system" thing gone. I've said this a few times but I always get ignored

It's not that the forums are getting slower, it's just that you're spending more time here, and that people haven't enough time to post up new stuff. Loads of people experience the same thing....

But as Dave pointed out, they all go through phases, and some times of the week/month/year are quieter than others...

I think a lot of people are happy to respond to threads but don't like starting threads. Open-ended and controversial threads generate a lot of replies. A closed thread (i.e. a rant that is specific to you) would not generate much interest.

I have noticed these forums slowing down a bit but it could be due simply to higher quality but fewer posts.

this forum is massive compaired to others so it must be all go, i mean some forums your lucky if you get 20 people on at the same time

The volume doesn't seem to have changed much. But in the past 6 months - very much in the past 3 months the quality of the users posting has gone down the toilet.

There are now only a few users I find making interesting and valuable posts

Hexus General Discusion is actually a side line forum. It's not what we're actually all about. It's just nice to have it.

The hardware, development, gaming, cars no bikes forums etc are very busy.

So, it's not just all about chit chat. There's some excellent IT stuff being discussed, news threads being debated etc.

GD isn't the centre of the Hexus Community. But it's good to have to kick back and relax in.

i agree, some forums start as a dedicated forum then everyone loses interest and just hangs about in the off topic, then when you do want some help on topic, they dont want to know lol
