i asked a simple question!
whats wrong?
No because the future is already predetermined, its just an illusion of free will.
When you have a choice, no matter how hard you try, the choice you ultimate make is the choice that was predetermined in the beginning of time.
Precisely how you define free will? That is the real question, without the answer to which the first question is meaningless.
I suggest you go buy a Psychology text book

reality is an illusion.
no, i don't need one kthx.
okay this question goes to the ppl who believe that the future is predetermined. (as someone said)
so why is it that way?
because of fate or beacuse of God or becuase we evoloved from monkeys?( btw i don't believe in the evoloution dogma)
i know. lets all talk like we've discovered were in the matrix for a bit.

Everyone can make a decision themselves, but at the same time everyone will only choose what they consider the best option.
Here's something that seems interesting to me. This year for my final year uni project i have to create an artificial life simulation (well modify an exisitng system) using genetic algorithms. The main aim will be to model speech and hearing in a simulated ecosystem containing predators and prey. That's the background of my thought, but this led me to think, if a true artificial intelligence was created, how would it know what is real? For all it knows the environment it was created in is the real world.
Relating it back to free will, would the artificial intelligence have free will, to all intents and purposes its creator would be its god

I think the future is preditermined in a way. For instance due to everything leading up to this moment in my life I am sitting here typing on this thread. Due to my genetic makup and personality I am writing these words because that is how I have been brought up to be. In a way I have my OWN free will but if someone new everything about me and everything affecting me and that has affected me my actions could be preditermined.
I'm not sure if that made sense
With love and many thanks,
