Really impressed by this gesture tbh :)
Dammit ;_; Knew I should have submitted a bug
I know I submitted at least one bug through the Bug Reporting Tool with my hotmail address on it, though I sent most anonymously. But I haven't got an email from MS yet :(. Still, it's a nice gesture.
ooooooh
I submitted one! I submitted one!
It was from my work address though, and our organisation is some sort of official testing partner, so I hope it applies to me personally... :-P
Although I don't have an email from them... hmmmm... i probably didn't put my email address in or something stupid like that.
Pffft.
lol thats brilliant!! I got 4 people in the office kicking themselves because they didn't.
I only had it installed on my machine for a short period because it was awful (I had v. early version)
nice one Microsoft, it's always good when humongus multi-billion-dollar companies think about the little guys that keep them there :)
darn it - tried to submit a bug - but couldn't get my wifi drivers to work on Vista so no internet, just gave up in the end :( boo and hiss
thats awesome :) and to think that for SP2 testing all I got was a 'commemorative' CD version of SP2 lol
i didnt submit any reports, damn..
still, it thanks the people who actually helped with the beta testing, not those who just wanted a free copy of windows for a year :)
I submitted a few bugs, never got any email though :(
Guessing it doesn\'t apply to the public beta?
I think it may be for those bugs they acted on or perhaps people from a certain region. Who knows, many possible things...
most likely yanks only if history is anything to go by with this kind of thing
According to Ars Technica, this deal applies only to invited beta testers who supplied at least one bug report. All the ordinary schmoes who installed Vista and then took the trouble to test and file a proper bug report needn't bother checking their email.
I wonder if all the people who reported the same bug, get a license? Or is it the first to report it gets it?
I'm one of the 20,000 official beta testers. :D
Shame I never got around to submitting any bug reports though, only had it installed for a short while before I had to build a new PC. :(
