Have you responded to a bogus RBS email?
There has been a recent spate of emails sent to our customers claiming to be from The Royal Bank of Scotland
The email claims that you need to update your account details by clicking on a link. This link then takes you to a site asking for your full Security Number and full Password.
THESE EMAILS ARE BOGUS AND THE LINK IS TO A BOGUS SITE.
If you have received such an email, please attach it to a new email so that we can identify the source and send it to
digitalbanking@rbs.co.uk, before deleting it.
If you think you may have responded with your Digital Banking security details, please call us immediately on 0845 600 8212 (+44131 317 4597 from outside UK) between the hours of 8am and 12 midnight (UK time).
Remember - we never ask customers to provide their security details by email so please ignore emails that do. We would only ever ask you to enter random characters from your PIN and Password when you logon to Digital Banking.
Visit our Security Section for further advice on handling emails and other security issues such as viruses, firewalls, spyware and Trojans.
