Just saw this newsflash on Sky news, Sky just spent £940 on buying 18% of ITV's shares.
Won't be long before we start seeing Sky programs on ITV then

Guess the NTL:Telewest buyout of ITV has gone down the pan then!
Beer is life, life is good!
I really want to see Freeview become solid. It's already very good.
The more competition the better for the consumer.
Their share is so worthless ?

What freeview? I disagree, They have a penetration almost equal to sky and far greater than NTL:Telewest which push up channel advertising revenues and with the analogue switch off starting in 2008 they are here to stay. With the extra bandwidth freed up by analogue terrestrial transmissions being ceased, expect to see far more services available via freeview in the future.
I just wish that NTL:Telewest would cease analogue transmission, but with some areas only able to recieve analogue without millions (which they don't have) being invested in the network, the additional bandwidth is going to stay locked up by a service that has long been superceeded by far more feature rich offerings!

How much of a monopoly do Sky want?

Why do we only have one satellite provider in this country anyway?
