zzzz - just home from work

had such a strange couple of weeks
been over in hamburg for a week, then norway for three days, then london for a week... clocked up about 40 hours of overtime, and am shattered
took monday off after the london disaster (nasty unicode string causing mysql to belch in memory - took 4 days to resolve)
now, after all of that, my office called to say, "take tuesday off, and work from 10pm until you're finished on weds morning" - well, I've now finished, and a dead drive in a mirror is causing problems and spare drives all have a different firmware revision so raid controller will not accept them as a valid mirror target!
very tired, so will be back at sky for lunch tomorrow and hopefully I'll have the correct replacement drives delivered by then, so I can finally get some rest!

sorry - all been so quiet

    went splat, whole lot...
structured audo metafile had it's manufacturer string encoded with a bunch of 3-byte unicode characters, which when queried caused mysql to continually parse in memory, gradually using up more and more threads and file i/o handles - basically got slower, and slower until the process died.
not very nice at all, but by the same token, it's technically valid unicode so mysql should not have died in such a dramatic fashion.

    Simple solution for that:

Cross index the db listing through an alpha-stigmating reference channel then triple pass the b-route understring over a quadplex core pass-through flange bracket, hook up a gnurling arrhythmical callous feedback to keep the data stream in glex then simply alter the binaries to hex, strip the spangling index from the source code and then combine it with the output from the beta addressing line.

Or just hit the 'off' button and go home?

ROFL. Started reading this thinking you were being serious and posting a solution to scottyman's rather complex problem.

Then I realised it must be a joke as everyone knows you can't hook up a b-route understring over a quadplex core without using a g-grade triamofication undulator. DUH!
