The most embarrassing thing i've done in a while..

I was chattin to someone i know on MSN who sent me a link by "accident" (i'm doubting that now) to one of those love calculator sites. I clicked on it anyway - being a nosy git - and filled in the details..

.. Of course only then do i find out that it's a prank played by the creator and it sends your "crushes" (one of whom happened to be the person who sent me the link) to the person who sent you the link.. :embarrassed:

Suffice to say i hastily made a cover story (the person went offline just after i filled in the form) and emailed it - something along the lines of i entered the names in for a laugh, because someone else had sent me a link a few weeks ago, which would fit (i hope) because she already has a boyfriend and she was the first one on the list :P

Ha. Happened to me a few years back. Same thing. And i put the girls name who sent it me (liked her for 5 years.) Then it said it had e-mailed my results to her and my excuse was "How predictable is that, i knew that was going to happen"

what did she say?

I just got "hehe everyone says that :p" and then carried on a normal conversation.. so i think i got away with it

I got caught with one of those on on a blog site, but she was cute so I didn't care :D

just make sure she knows ur the better guy to be with :D
but dont infringe too much, or she will become suspect...

Ive done the same, apart from this one had quite intimate questions in it...Made a new msn address after that. :)

Well, i don't see her all that often, but she's a really nice girl - sort of person you can feel alright about confiding in :)

I don't suppose you've still got the link have you? (I'm thinking of stitching up one of the people at work ;))

yeah.. next time i make an idiot of myself and tell people about it.. im not sure what you were expecting people to say. either make some moves on her or don't. There isn't a lot of middle ground.

I would make some soppy remark about being appreciative of events as they stand, but at the moment i'm happy to have her as a friend.

And yes i do know i should expect rude remarks :P i don't really mind, i was just being a bit terse

so what this is about is you want people to tell you to go and try it on with her? ok. she sounds good for you. i'd get her to ditch that tool she's with at the moment and get with you instead, he'll never love her like you do

Not quite that, it was more of an amusing tale to tell the peeps on Hexus :) But i know what you mean, i think i'll just put it out of my mind for the moment, i have a feeling that going out with her will screw the whole really good friends thing.

someone sent me the link but i'd heard about it on scott mills' show, so i put her name then "you are so busted" for the other names. I was tempted to put guys names to freak her out, or just her name 3 times :lol:

You could always do it again a few more times and just fill in some more names of friends. that way she wont know which was yours, though that normally has to be done at the time of the event

You should turn this on its head and ask Her why, if she's got a boyfriend, she's sending Love Calculators to You!

Anyway I'd have said "I put your name in because you sent it to me."

You've got to wonder if anyone ever found out their mate was gay with something like this? That'd have me in stiches

Now here's one...how do i work to see if someone I like puts me in it? How would I send a link to the page without them being suspicous, maybe send it to more than one person?

Tried that - i just spammed her inbox with random names, but i tried it on myself and it tells you who sent the email :p

@GeorgeTuk.. i suppose you could create your own in php :) or find one of these pranks that doesn't tell the person that it's sent the email to you
