    ParcelFarce..

    Grr..

That's about all I can summon up at the moment..

    *waits a moment*

    Right, lets rewind a bit..

A couple of weeks ago I bit the bullet and ordered a Japanese PS3 from NSCX.com, (yeah I know - shush already! ) they shipped it on the 16th, and well, here's PF's tracking as of a few minutes ago:

    Code:
    Status: In progress

21-11-2006 18:05 International Hub AWAITING CUSTOMS CHARGING
21-11-2006 18:05 International Hub AWAITING CUSTOMS CHARGES
21-11-2006 17:46 International Hub Arrived in destination country
16-11-2006 21:46 Delivery Agent - NEW YORK -PTT Left origin country
16-11-2006 14:59 Delivery Agent - UNITED STATES AMERICA Collected from customer
So according to that, it's been in customs for the last week, right?

Nope, I called customs up (really nice chap actually), they informed me that they had cleared it on the 21st at 19:43, and that I should have had it *long* ago..

He then gave me the direct number to my local depot to check there, and failing that, a direct line to some parcel finder type in ParcelForce (called Phil.. True story!). I called the local depot, and got them to check on their internal system - POIS, sure enough Customs had released it when they said they had, and 2 minutes later the parcel was scanned in at the "National Hub"..

    Where it never left..

So either they've lost it, or some oik as light-fingered it and already punted it on eBay

Hopefully Phil the ParcelFinder can unearth it for me..

Has anyone else had this happen?

I've not had them actually lose anything yet.. I have had them delay, weasel and charge totally random fees for stuff I've bought overseas though.. The online tracking is largely a waste of time IMHO..

The last encounter I had with PF was the delivery guy writing "Not at home," before the last door bell chime had even sounded.. he must've waited all of 5 seconds before writing.. They're bloody awful.

Maybe their online tracking is a waste of time but using UPS alot recently and it works great on Parcels to US. Also DHL is good.

ParcelForce I would never use again after a personal package was lost. It wasn't important but once bitten, twice shy is my rule for all companies...that includes OverclockersUK and Sony.

Royal mail are really bad in my area at the moment, never had any problems with them until the last month or so. They lost one parcel then another turned up a week late and i've just had something else go missing too

Never had any problems with parcelforce, they normall leave things in my porch (Out of sight).

Heh, just had a call from Parcelforce, apparently it never went into the national hub, it was held by customs because there was no invoice or something so they couldn't charge the correct duty..

But that's 3 different things from 3 different people, but they do have it, and now that I've faxed the invoice they can send the parcel on..

    *phew*

Apparently they sent me a letter to inform me of this on the 22nd, but as per Royal Mail, it never arrived..

Never had it happen with anything as expensive as that, but I avoid parcelforce like the plague now.

It either never arrives or looks like it took on Mike Tyson(and I dont mean his boxing) on it's way to me.

most expensive thing they ever broke for me was a cheapo TV that was my little bros xmas present a couple of years back.
